I hope the guy sends several samples to different places to be tested. The population out west is getting large and the males do travel a long way while maturing.
I found it interesting that all the adult males in the South Dakota population were from somewhere else. Where did they come from? Where do all the young males go?????

$20 says its complete rubbish. Check out the origin of yeti footprints in the Himalayas-they were shown to be snow leopard tracks that had been exposed to sunlight for a short time. My guess is they are slightly melted bobcat tracks. His claim "I don't know where to send the samples" makes the whole thing suspicious-its very easy to make claims if you don't have to prove them. Where are the photos showing the distance between track? And his description of the hair is definitely not cougar. My cats' hair is coarse, not fine and soft. That is how I would describe bobcat fur!
