I received a forwarded email this morning purporting to be photos of a multi-cougar sighting near Duluth, Mn. I had always heard cougars were solitary animals so seeing three photographed together within such close range made me think "hoax" after my initial excitement of seeing the pictures.

I don't doubt that there are cougars in the vicinity of Duluth, I'm just wondering about the authenticity of these particular photographs. In trying to prove or disprove them, I came across this site and it seems like the place to post the pictures for opinions. Perhaps these photos already have a "history" that members here are aware of?

Thanks for any light you can shed on them.

These are the current hoax pictures. If you look closely, one of the cars has a Colorado plate on it. I forget which town they are from there. These photos have been claimed to be from most eastern states as well.
This apears to be a family group. The young ones should be dispersing soon.
